🔒How to Stake OGY Tokens

The most convenient way to stake OGY tokens in governance is through the NNS dApp.

The high-level steps are

1. Transfer your tokens to the NNS dApp

2. Stake your tokens in the ORIGYN SNS via the NNS dApp

In details, follow this procedure

1. Transfer OGY to NNS dApp: If you have tokens on the ORIGYN dashboard, they need to be transferred to the NNS dApp

   1. Open the NNS dApp

   2. Sign in to the NNS dApp with your Internet Identity

   3. Navigate to the tab "Tokens" and then "ORIGYN"

   4. Click on "Receive" and copy your "OGY Address"

   5. Go back to the ORIGYN dashboard and click on "Transfer" in your Available OGY

   6. Paste your principal from the NNS dApp and the amount you wish to transfer

   7. Click on "Transfer OGY". Depending on the wallet you are using, you may have to approve the interaction with ledger.

   8. Your OGY tokens should now be in your OGY balance on the NNS dApp.

2. Stake new tokens on NNS dApp

   1. Go back to the NNS dApp

   2. Navigate to the tab "Neuron Staking" and go to "ORIGYN"

   3. Click on "Stake OGY" and define the amount you wish to stake. Click "Continue".

   4. As a last step, you need to configure the dissolve delay of your new neuron. Click on the neuron you just created and click on "Increase Delay". You need to lock your tokens at least for 1 year to be able to vote and therefore receive any staking rewards.

   5. If you don't want to vote on every proposal manually, you can also set your neuron to follow another neuron. You can follow the official team neuron, which has the ID 85c7658209f1b701aa15727de64ad046787711a29583b53534254b4744e8ba53

Now that you are setup with your neuron, you can add it to the ORIGYN dashboard to be able to receive your staking rewards.
